This is made by blending Nebbiolo grapes grown on our Bricco delle Viole, San Pietro, La Volta & Bricco di Vergne vineyards in Barolo blended in different % . The fermentation process is substantially different compared with the single-vineyard Barolos, as its length is reduced to approx. 15-18 days, with the must being pumped to the top of the tank several times each day, though without the cap being fully submerged. The ageing it takes place for about 36-42 months in wooden casks and vats 15-40-50 hl in capacity. The wine reaches maturity after a further 6 months in the bottle before being put on sale. Ruby-red with light garnet highlights, this wine’s style is definetely elegant. The bouquet remind the spices, undergrowth, dried fruit and wild flowers.Full bodied & chewy is a wine with a great long finish.
