The 7 hectares (17.5 acres) vineyard is located around the old medieval castle, on a south facing plateau located at the southern end of the village of Albas, which overlooks the Lot River from an altitude of 240 meters (780 ft). Château de Cénac Tradition derives from a vineyard established on plateaus with a chalky-clayey soil consisting of brown clay and ferruginous pebbles.
The harvest is carefully sorted out and totally de-stemmed. The maceration, at controlled temperature, lasts about 2 weeks during which sequential pumping-over and punching of the cap are carried out. After completion of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged in vats for 12 months before it is bottled.
