Tasting notes: The wine has a beautiful ruby red colour with a hint of garnet. On the nose it develops very ripe, black fruit aromas, with spicy, toasty overtones On the palate it has a fresh, full-bodied attack developing into a delicate, complex tannin structure with a toasty flavour, which proceeds into a beautiful, lingering aromatic aftertaste. An opulent wine, made with grapes which have reached optimum 'ripeness'. It can be kept for 5 to 8 years. Drinking advice: This wine is best served at about 16 deg C or just below normal room temperature. The wine is the perfect accompaniment to cold meats, red meats, omelettes, patés, cheeses and chocolate pastries.
