Sugar and spice abound in this New Zealand, cool climate Riesling. Offering big sprays of citrus, honeysuckle and blossom this is a lovely crisp, dry wine with sweet citrus fruit flavours that last on the long finish.Tasting Notes Colour:Very pale at bottling but with time this wine will pick up gold tints. Bouquet:Aromatic intensity looks set to be one of the hallmarks of the 2008 Marlborough Rieslings. This wine leaps from the glass with masses of citrus, citrus blossom and spice. Palate:This wine is subtle, yet concentrated and the acid and fruit sweetness are beautifully harmonious.

Winemaker's Notes The Spring Creek vineyard from which this fruit is sourced is proving to be a stellar performer. Once again it has produced fruit of superb flavour and intensity. Only free-run juice was used to make this wine. This juice was in pristine condition and was both subtle and pure. As with previous vintages we used a yeast that goes by the name of Siha7. This yeast was isolated because of its unique ability to harness Riesling’s floral delicacy.
