We made the decision to market on line property this fabulous white dry which is LA PETITE CULOTTE, that the whole world envies us. This wine of appellation Bordeaux Haut-Benauge results from certain pieces of the Lacombe Castle that my back grandfather Gabriel Marès planted white vines, because it had detected the formidable potential of this exceptional vintage. This a little strange name for a high-class wine was given to these pieces because he loved the beautiful women and adored to pass from long moments in this charming place, lending himself to the idylle, a little too with the taste of his daughter, who one day, wanted to go to see what he made. It did not find it but discovered a "piche biste" (split panties) with the foot of a oak in edge of piece. It brought back it and highlighted it. The come evening, it saw it but does not say word. It preserved this panties like witness and this one appears in good place in our museum. Persuaded that after having tasted this exceptional vintage you would have taken makes and causes for this delicious man who liked the good things of the life. Its very particular soil contributes to confer its strong personality and its aptitude for ageing to him. The characters very typical of this vintage are constant with the wire of the years: A nose with the intense and subtle flavours, end and fruity, citrus fruits, honey, grilled almond, crystallized apricot. The mouth is always very aromatic, rich, generous, very long in a great harmony and all in smoothness. Splendid structure. Beautiful final, very elegant, of the roundness, much of class. An exceptional vintage growing old magnificently.

Sémillon to 66 % and sauvignon to 34 %.

The grounds are : argilo-limestones (rendzinas). The basement : limestone with asteries.

Perfect ripeness and control are vital to produce this exceptional wine. After careful pressing, fermentation and ageing take place in new wood barrels in a temperature controlled cellar for 12 to 18 months depending on the vintage.
