Tasting Notes (recommended):Morgon is considered to be one of the very finest organic Beaujolai cru. You will love the intense fruit offered by this expensive cherry-scented red, which has an attractive floral edge and not a scrap of oak. As the wine matures it will take on a more pinot noir character, an attribute of the Morgon wines that leads to the term: “il morgonne”. Pretty cool for the quality of the region’s leading wine to have become a verb. Specific terroir gives a typical Morgon : powerful and generous. Roundness and length in mouth will seduce you. Culinary agreements: duck breast, beef tab, pheasant, roast quail, cheese platter.
