Super value sparkling wine. Pick-me-up from Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc. Gleeful bubbles usher in bright tropical notes. Invigoratingly fruity with clean, fresh apple flavours, whiffs of peach and grass. Succulent just-dry finish. A fruity and refreshing sparkling wine, ideal for summer. Enjoy as an aperitif, with shell or smoked fish, oysters, and other seafood dishes. Recommended maturation potential : 1 to 3 years. 80% Colombard, 20% Sauvignon Blanc .
Colombard - well-drained alluvial soil. Sauvignon Blanc - well-drained alluvial sand.
15 year old vines on 4-wire Perold trellising system. Drip irrigation controlled by a computer system through meters and tensiometers.
Harvesting is done by machine. Advantage of machine is that harvesting can be done at night when the grapes are cooler and the result thereof is better quality. Harvested at 20 degrees Balling. Yield 15 tons per hectare.
Style : A light dry blended fruity sparkling wine. Vinification : Artificial injection of carbon dioxide into the wine takes place. The wine and the syrup are chilled and the carbon dioxide is administered through a porus "candle". This then dissolves in the wine. It is stored in pressure resistant tanks, filtered and bottled under pressure. R/S : 12.0 g/l.
