Tasting Notes (recommended):Barbera grapes grown on estate vineyards in Diano d'Alba produce this distinguished Barbera d'Alba "Carbea". Ruby and crimson red in colour, it has a complex, thoroughbred bouquet, with fragrant, ethereal overtones and hints of spices. A long-lasting, fresh, crisp streak gives a lively touch to its intense, warm, dry taste. The hand-picked grapes are crushed and de-stemmed in the winery, where the must then ferments directly on the skins. The new wine matures for three months in Salvonian oak.
