Señorío de Astobiza wines are produced exclusively from our own
grapes in our own winery since 2008. Before 2008 we have been 15 years taking care of the vineyard. Our wines are therefore considered as Plantation Wines characterised by the region’s ecosystem. The 10 hectare Okendo Txakolina winery is situated in Okondo (Álava), Europe´s South.
We are increasing our vineyard area by 3 Ha/yr. There is an exceptional micro-climate that is especially good for
growing white grape varieties with a maritime character and continental
influence. Grape production are about 6,000kg per hectare. This, coupled with an abundant canopy and good sun exposure produces a
balanced harvest and excellent ripening. ISO9001 & ISO 14001 certified, implementing carbon footprint.
