For Jean-Pierre Teissèdre, wine-growing is both a family story and a matter of passion and know-how transmitted from father to son. Jean-Pierre Teissèdre lives this passion through a double activity: he is both wine-grower with his two Estates and négociant.
About the Estates:
The first one, the Domaine des Grandes Bruyères with 10,5 hectare is located in Beaujolais where Jean-Pierre Teissèdre owns his winery. This Estate is located about 10 kilometres North West of Villefranche-sur-Saône.
The wines produced there are mainly red wines made of Gamay, the main grape of this area, but also rare white Beaujolais and white Beaujolais Villages made of Chardonnay
The second one, the Domaine des Teppes de Châtenay (8,5 hectares), produces mainly white wines, the Mâcon Villages and the Vin de Pays de Saône & Loire, both made of Chardonnay.
The production is traditional, making the wines typical. They are raised in casks or steel vats and bottled at the property.
The wine-grower, Jean-Pierre Teissèdre, is also a négociant. He has selected all the Beaujolais Crus, Mâconnais wines and some great Bourgognes. He also has a selection of some Rhône Valley wines and Vins de Pays d’Oc.
