I'm Elena Zanetta the owner of company "Madonna Dell'Uva". Our company is located in the hills area between Cureggio and Borgomanero (small town located in north- eastern Piedmont region)in the province of Novara. I would introduce our wines, not only because they are really good, but also because they represent a typical Italian region rarity. We produce, excellent, rare, autochthon, genuine and pure, well-balance red wines, Colline Novaresi D.O.C.
In Four typologies: Nebbiolo, Uva Rara, Croatina, Vespolina. Another commercial line is: Piemonte D.O.C. Barbera.
Our vineyard is in a single body, and is located in a hills area between Cureggio and Borgomanero.
The planting is m. 2:00 between a pole and the other and m. 2.80 between rows, so that the tractor can perform certain operations.
The poles are cement (excellent to remedy for various diseases that may creep with wooden poles) wires and wire tensioner are all steel.
Training in our case is double Guyot, this consist in putting on the same pole two rooted that go in opposite direction, with two heads and two Spurs.
The grass improves the absorption of phosphorus in depth with this there is greater organic substance in the surface layers.
Fertilisation is organic, made with seasoned horse manure, we simply also in treatments to provide a product environmental and as natural as possible.
In 2005 the vineyard was all covered with hail control network that not only repairs by hail, but protects from wind and attacks of insects and birds and creates a good layer of warmth to the cluster.
Obviously different cultivation operations such as:Browse, ligature, pruning and thinning run strictly by hand.
Even grapes by hand, at different times depending on vine, so that we can give a time of maturing. All this with passion and commitment that every day we renew.
