PRESENTATION OF VIGNOBLES LAVILLE
Mr. J.H LAVILLE, currently in charge of LAVILLE vineyards, comes from a old family that has been working in the wines ever since 1510. His son Benoit LAVILLE joined in 1998. They produces, crafts and markets their various wines with an inimitable combination of love, passion and perseverance.
The total area in production of the VIGNOBLES J.H. LAVILLE, is 80 hectares.
The vineyards produce wines under the Bordeaux Red, Bordeaux White, and Entre-Deux-Mers appellations. Château Lacombe also produces wines under the oldest of the white AOC labels , Bordeaux Haut-Benauges.
Total production is 60.000 cases, of which 70% are exported to 35 different countries.
The cellars adjoining the vineyards were designed for the sole purpose of ensuring the quality of the finished product. All the vats are in stainless steel vats under permanent temperature. The barrel cellars are sited on each individual estate. All these facilities are used in line with the longest-standing Bordeaux traditions and benefit from the latest state-of-the art technology.
One of the specific features of the LAVILLE vineyards is without doubt the quality of the terroirs, the result of the work of several generations. It can today be said that not all the great terroirs of the Bordeaux region were discovered in 1855. Château Lacombe have been the proof of that for many years.
