' Friends of a Feather are Friends for Ever '
Classified in the XIV century by the Archbishop of Bordeaux, the Château Pique-Sèque vineyard was, at the end of the XIX century, one of the most beautifully sited in the region (cf Guide Féret), having a reputation which placed its wines among the best known crus of MONTRAVEL and BERGERAC.
The strategy of the current managers, Philip (British of origin) and Marianne Mallard, is towards a progressive extension of the area planted under vines, with a high density of 5 000 vines/ha.
It also includes a herd of pedigree Limousin cattle with a champion French bull.
