Additional Information

In 1996 the first bottled wines were launched - the Regional Estremadura Quinta da Espiga and Palha-Canas, and the VQPRD / DOC Alenquer Quinta das Setencostas. These wines immediately gained great success in the national and export markets, receiving numerous prizes and the praises of specialised critics, and since then other different brands were launched such as the successful Quinta de Bons-Ventos, Eximius, Quinta do Figo and the top quality Touriz.

Under the brand Casa Santos Lima is produced one of the biggest Portuguese varietal collection: the whites Arinto, Chardonnay, Fernão Pires, Moscatel, and the reds Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Camarate, Castelão, Merlot, Preto Martinho, Syrah, Tinta Miúda, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Trincadeira.

Several unique bi-varietals combinations are also produced: Arinto-Fernão Pires, Cabernet Sauvignon-Touriga Franca, Merlot-Tinta Miúda, Pinot Noir-Touriga Nacional and Syrah-Castelão.

In 2001 was launched the Palha-Canas RESERVA Red 2000.

Presently, more than 90% of total production is exported to 22 countries all over the world.

The Company was awarded with the Revelation of the Year 1997 award by the Portuguese magazine Revista de Vinhos.
