In has a very dark red cherry colour, bright. Very powerful in the nose, with tones of ripe fruit, liquorice, Mediterranean herbs and some vanilla notes from the oak, but very well-integrated in the fruit. In the mouth it is very rich, powerful and clean. It has a very long and round finish.
95 % Tempranillo, 5% Graciano, grapes from our own vineyards located in the sub-region of Rioja Alavesa. These grapes have been selected carefully from vines with less than 4 bunches, and harvested at a moment of optimum ripeness.
The grapes are destalked and after that they are sent to stainless steel vats where they ferment at controlled temperature of 28ºC for 18 days. Then the wine is aged in new oak barrels for 24 months (depending on the year). 50% French and 50% American oak barrels. The wine rounds up in the bottle.
