GRAPES Barbera 100% VINEYARD Age: 5 years Exposure : west Average altitude :400 m a.s.l. Soil: chalky clay VINTAGE end of September Avearage yield per Ha: 70 q VINIFICATION The grapes are hand selected on the vine,following initial pressing,fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature(30°C) in steel vats. The maceration is 4 days long. Malolactic fermentation takes place in November REFINING IN WOOD 12 month in 30 hl slavonian oak cask CLARIFICATION White of eggs,gelbentonite PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Medium body, clean red color,fresh and intense bouquet of ripe fruit .It has a balanced,harmonic ,persistent and pleasantly soft taste,thanks to the sweet and delicate tannins ,developed in the wood ageing.
