Tasting Notes:Barolo Chinato began its history in Piedmont in the second half of the `800s as a medicinal wine with unique therapeutic properties against fever. Soon it spread throughout Italy, owing to its bitter-sweet equilibrium conferred by the bark of the Cinabro Calissaja, by spices and aromatic herbs, making it an ideal aperitif wine, good for meditation that can satisfy even the most demanding palates. It has been recently discovered that this wine is an ideal “mate” for the famous dark chocolate and for the all desserts where the main ingredient is Cocoa.
