It is a very well-balanced wine, with quite a lot of structure, as it is a wine made out of three very powerful varieties. It is a round wine, with character and personality. In the nose we can feel the aromas of ripe fruit, wild berries, strawberry coming from the Merlot; the varietal spicy aromas of the Tempranillo. The Cariñena brings structure and colour to the wine. Then, the French oak gives the wine some very clean and elegant toasted tones.
BOHIGAS crianza is made out of the varieties Cariñena, Tempranillo and Merlot, which were collected in September 2001.
The fermentation has been done controlling the temperature up to 27-28º. After that, the wine is sent to French oak barrels, where it stays for minimum 7 months. Finally it is bottled and stays in the bottle until the time of release.
