This magnificent 7 hectare vineyard is wholly owned by Benoît Laville, last in the line of one of the great wine-producing families of the Bordeaux area since 1510. The vineyard is situated in the St. Sulpice de Pommiers commune, and benefits from an exceptional soil, with outcrops of limestone and clay running in an ideal north-south direction across the hillside. Tasting notes: Deep purple colour. A complex blend of aromas of truffles, violets, blackcurrants and chocolate. On the palate the wine is supple and fleshy with vanilla flavours and a velvety texture. Very elegant on the finish, revealing the typical high quality of this château.

The grape varieties are Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), planted at 8000 plants/hectare.

Harvesting is manual, followed by strict sorting of individual bunches (triage).

Vinification takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel vats which are continuously monitored. There is a long period of maceration (30 days), followed by ageing in barrels for 12-16 months, according to the vintage.
