Brilliant garnet red with orangey hues. Complexity of aromas reminding of autumn plants, toasted nuts, coffee, balsamic, vanilla and pepper. In the mouth it is smooth, tasty and fleshy. Structured with elegant notes of aok and wild red fruits in the retronasal phase. Its rich mouthfeel and harmony bring back long and pleasant memories of raisins. An excellent match for roasts, red meats, game, cheeses, spiced dishes, Iberian ham and charcuterie. Serve at 18 ºC (64 ºF).
60% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Garnacha
The soil is brown and limy over a sandy loam.
Continental climate with very hot summers and very cold winters, as well with a sharp contrast in temperature between night and day, what favours wines rich in fruit. Precipitation is of some 360 mm, while annual insolation amounts to be about 2.800 hours.
September-October 1994
After crushing and destemming, the grape macerates for 6 days and fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with several rackings per day. After malolactic fermentation the coupage is made and then the wine is decanted and taken to American and French oak barrels, where it will age for 24 months. Finally, the wine will be filtered before being bottled and will repose in the bottle in the silence of our underground cellar for 4 years.
