Tasting Notes:We source our Merlot fruit from vineyards as far south as Monterey and as far north as Napa and Sonoma. Our Monterey grapes are grown in Los Lobos vineyard, a site selected for the mountain range that protects it from the climatic influence of the Pacific Ocean and for its gravelly sandy loam soil that provides ideal drainage to create grapes with concentrated flavors. The appearance is dark purple hues. The aromas are intense wild blueberries and raspberries. The palate is warm spice notes highlighted by succulent ripe berries and sweet vanilla sourrounded by soft tannins.
