A deep garnet color in apperance. Displaying dark ripe fruit aromas full of sweet spice and toasty vanilla perfume. The palate displays strawberry jam with briar tones and hints of spice in a rich round wine.

92% Zinfandel, 8% Petite Sirah
We source the Petite Sirah from a vineyard in the Hames Valley AVA, in the southern part of Monterey County, where the daytime temperatures hover abover 100F, a huge swing from the 45F night and morning temperatures. This would be problematic for most grape varieties, but Petite Sirah thrives under these conditions. The heat and intense sunlight causes the fruit to develop profound color and tannins in the skin, which acts as a natural barrier to sunburn - a trait unique to Petite Sirah. Our Zinfandel is sourced from three distinct vineyards in exceptional Zinfandel-growing regions to create a wine with more personality and dimension. The first vineyard, comprised of old vines, is in Amador County. It has been farmed by a grower who's been growing grapes in the region for more than 25 years. The second vineyard, Hog's Canyon, is in Paso Robles where the hote summer temperatures and gravelly loam soils produce grapes with tremendous concentration. The third vineyard is in Sonoma County in the Valley of the Moon. A western-facing vineyard, it produces grapes bursting with the taste of sun-ripened fruit.
