Ruby red colour with iodised undertones.A brilliant, opaque wine. Complex aromas. After oxygenation, the aromas of fruit compote, minerals and smokiness come through thanks to the quality and characteristics of the wood used while its ageing. In the mouth is big, round with well- integrated tannins and a long pleasant aftertaste where all flavours keep coming through.

This wine was made with TINTA FINA grape only (an autochthonous variety of Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero region) from a selected parcel. Limited production and best quality. It is a very special wine maker´s wine. Fermentation of the selected grapes in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 29ºC and a maceration period of 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests for 14 months in new oak casks from Caucasus, followed by a further 6 months in 20.000-litre French oak vats. Lastly it matures in the bottle for 12 months before it is put on the market. We only produce 20.000 bottles of this vintage and only will be produced in excellent years.
