Soil:The soil here is clay over limestone and the average altitude of the vineyards is 600-700 metres (1,968-2,296 feet).

Growing Climate / Vintage Conditions:Although Manchuela has a continental climate, the altitude and fresh humid winds which blow in from the Mediterranean at night slow development. Summer temperatures, then, are surprisingly low – with a high of 25°C/79°F. Winter temperatures rarely drop to freezing.
