Sangiovese (>85%)
The growing area is characterized by very dry weather. Puglia produces grapes, which are deep in colour and full bodied in taste.
Still havested by hand, the Sangiovese grapes used for Vitae are a pure selection of solely quality grapes.
The carefully selected very ripe grapes were destemmed and crushed into open top fermenters. Fermentation lasted about one week. At dryness, the wine was pressed, and kept in steel vats where malolactic fermention was completed.
