Notes de dégustation:The Nebbiolo vine produces outstanding fruit in a small area of hills taking in just three villages (Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso) and the San Rocco Seno d'Elvio district of Alba. Ripe bunches picked on the most sun-blessed slopes undergo a carefully-timed production cycle in the winery: crushing with de-stemming, alcoholic fermentation on the skins at a controlled temperature, ageing for a year in wooden casks, and months of refinement in the bottle. The resulting wine has an intense garnet red colour, and a wide ranging bouquet of fragrant overtones (wild strawberries, cinnamon and cocoa). Dry, and packet with body and stuffing, Barbaresco is made to withstand the test of time, and will preserve its original qualities down the years.
