Every year since 1997, the London International Wine Fair draws interest from wine critics, experts and specialists from our industry.

This year, some have criticized the event, claiming it has lost some of its international character. Well, the United Kingdom still remains a very significant importer for global consumption, and the London International Wine Fair is a must for anyone wishing to introduce their wines in this dynamic market.

In fact, most of the producers I met from May 20th to 22nd attended the event



specifically to acquire some visibility and develop or support their national distribution efforts. Their assessment of the fair was very positive.

Still keen to boost their sales abroad, many came to us and agreed to join the Global Wine & Spirits e-business network.

Organizers of the London International Wine Fair are promising an improved edition for 2014 with new dates as well as a return to the show’s original location of Olympia.
