The Global Wine & Spirits team and nine producers from France, Mexico, Australia, UK, South Africa and Morocco just returned from the Hong Kong Wine Fair, where for 3 days from November 7-9, they met with buyers from across Asia.

In this second edition of the Hong Kong GWS pavilion,  producers marketed
their products, offered tastings and built business ties with importers and distributors. Following last year’s trends, traffic was high and buyers were keen to source new wines and spirits.

“In addition to providing producers with their own kiosks under our pavilion umbrella, we set up a meeting room for a select group of Cognac and Pays d’Oc wine producers,
who, over the three days, met with prospective buyers and customers,” says Marie Soubirac, Director of Sales at GWS.

The GWS networking dinner on November 7 was also a success and brought together producers and key buyers, including a major player from Thailand and an importer from Hong Kong. All agree that the Hong
Kong nternational Wine & Spirits Fair has become a key international platform for those producers looking to pierce the Asian market, where there is an ever-growing demand for wine.

“The coming weeks will allow us to evaluate more effectively the efforts deployed by the entire team to get in touch with qualified buyers in the GWS network and beyond,” concludes Soubirac .
