Print This 20 years of experience selling premium quality,
award-winning Domaines and Châteaux wines

By Marie-Claude Veillette,

Founded in 1997, first entered the market as an online seller of award winning, rare and vintage wines. The company expanded its activities to wholesale trading in 2011, when Olivier Desgouillons took the reins of the company.

Focused on meeting the needs of clients in Asia, the United States and Europe, Olivier Desgouillons expanded the selection of Châteaux wine holdings to meet demands from importers seeking to source premium wines in larger quantities and at a lower price point than the Grand Crus available online.

« We represent around twenty Châteaux located across France, but we are focused on products from the regions of Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Languedoc, Loire and Champagne, » explains Desgouillons.

He notes that FIWINE BORDEAUX also caters to importers with a selection of Domaines from the main Bordelaises appellations and a line of organic wines sourced from a variety of regions and appellations.

« Because we work directly with the Châteaux, we are able to provide custom services for our clients, including the personalization of product labels. Many of our Asian customers in particular like to recognize special events or dates with a personalized bottle of wine. »

Leveraging his expertise in export logistics, every year Desgouillons spends several months in Asia to attend industry events and meet with potential buyers. FIWINE BORDEAUX will continue to grow their presence in Asia by attending the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, which will be held November 10th to 12th, 2016.

“We're participating in the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair with clear goals: to strengthen and further develop our trade activity in the region. Ideally, we hope to finalize agreements with buyers in China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia and of course Hong Kong.”

In addition to offering a catalog of entry-level wines that can be exported in large quantities, Desgouillons also plans to promote premium Bordeaux wines such as Petrus and Château Lafite Rothschild to his customers, not to mention Romanée-Conti de Bourgogne and several well-respected wines from Italy, Spain and Chile.
