Global Wine & Spirits — the online marketplace that connects wine producers with wine importers worldwide — is pleased to announce their partnership again this year with the International Wine Contest of Bucharest. Please provide some background information about the International Wine Contest Bucharest.

An initiative of the National Office for Vine and Vitivinicultural Products (ONVPV), through the Association of Authorized Tasters Romania (ADAR) and in partnership with ASER Wineconsulting, IWCB 2017 will be held under the patronage of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED). Held to the highest standards of the OIV, wine samples will be assessed by an international jury recognized for their experience and professionalism

“We're proud to be associated once again to an international wine contest such as IWCB”, says Berdj Keuylian, Director of Sales and Operations at Global Wine & Spirits. “GWS members benefit from participating in these contests by gaining added recognition for their wines, while IWCB helps elevate the industry and provide exposure for wine makers”.

Last year, 450 medals were awarded from a selection of over 1495 wines from 32 countries. Winners this year will be recognized with one of three medals, ranging from “great gold” to “silver”. Contest results from this year's edition — taking place from May 25th to 28th — will not only be published by the IWCB but also by partners, including Global Wine & Spirits.

“Communication through GWS is as efficient as it is honourable. I am glad that, due to the GWS activity, many producers from all over the world have registered for the contest. I hope that the success of our partnership to inspire the other segments of wine industry, in order to be connected or to do business with this major media channel”, says Catalin Paduraru, CEO IWCB.
